The house
How many people does High Mourne House sleep?
Up to six guests across three bedrooms: one king, one double, and one twin. A travel cot and highchair are available on request at no charge.
Is the hot tub really private?
Entirely. It’s in the back garden under a fixed cover, for your use only, and included in every stay at no extra cost. It’s ready from check-in.
Is the house suitable for young children?
Yes. A stair gate, travel cot and highchair are available, and the garden is fully enclosed. The hot tub has a lockable cover, and children must be supervised at all times.
Is there wifi and can I work from the house?
Yes, reliable wifi throughout, and a table with a mountain view that makes replying to emails almost pleasant.
Is there an EV charger?
Yes, a 7kW charger on the driveway, included in your stay. Just bring your Type 2 cable.
Dogs
Can we bring our dog?
Yes, up to two well-behaved dogs stay free. The garden is fully enclosed with secure fencing, and walks start at the gate. We ask that dogs stay off the beds and aren’t left alone in the house.
Booking & payment
How do I book?
Check your dates with the availability search, choose any extras, and pay securely by card. You’ll get a confirmation email with everything you need. You’re booking directly with the house: no platform, no commission, no booking fees.
Is there a minimum stay?
Yes. All stays have a two-night minimum. The availability calendar will only offer valid departure dates.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in from 4pm, check-out by 10am. Late checkout until 12pm can be added during booking, subject to availability.
What's your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival for a full refund. Inside 14 days, we’ll refund anything we can re-let. Full details are in the cancellation section of our Terms & Conditions.
Do you take a damage deposit?
No deposit is taken up front. We simply ask you to treat the house as your own, and guests do.
Getting here
Where exactly is the house?
In the countryside near Annalong, County Down, about five minutes from the coast and fifteen from Newcastle. Full directions come with your booking confirmation.
Do we need a car?
It’s the easiest way to enjoy the area. Most nearby places are within a 20-minute drive, with longer days out called out in the local guide.
